For example, it is not unusual for a new IRP account to take several hours to several days to complete. We suggest you have all necessary forms completed and prerequisites met before going to a Port of Entry. IRP renewals will not be processed while you wait at a Port of Entry. This policy is necessary due to the length of time it takes to process an IRP renewal.
