I was referred to Kathy at Blinds Galore and More by my friend who was very happy with her plantation shutters and vertiglide blinds. Kathy was very helpful by answering my questions about plantation shutters, so I scheduled a meeting.

Her and Rick came to our home after i needed to cancel our first appointment at the last minute due to a medical issue. They brought their samples and described the quality in the products she sold. We were very happy and placed an order. Kathy suggested we cover our windows as we were leaving town and placed paper covers up until our shutters arrived. They hung our shutters when we were out of town, and knowing how excited we were to see them, sent us many pictures as they were installed.

Two products that arrived were not up to Kathy's standards, so she promptly returned them and had replacements installed when we were back home.

Rick and his helper were here to install the rest. They installed them, and were quick to make sure everything was perfect! They then made sure to clean up anything left behind in the install. We are extremely happy with the quality and all of Kathy's service. I would highly recommend her to anyone considering shutters. Oh wait, I already did refer them to friends who have also ordered from Kathy. She is great! I immediately called Kathy to help resolve my dilemma and two days later she was there ordering a new blind with sun blocking feature.

The blind arrive one week later and installed by Claudio who is an amazing professional who does great work. With Kathy and Claudio on your team you have the best of best. Thanks for the good fast installation. We just installed impact windows in our home to be safe with the hurricanes in Florida. We had Hunter Douglas window coverings and loved the look, quality and great customer service. When we called Kathy at Blinds Galore and More and told her what we wanted to do she came out the next day and showed us several of the Hunter Douglas products.

We needed blinds that would block the sun from coming through and interfering with our TV watching. She had the perfect solution for us. Kathy showed us the newest product, Silhouette Duolite, which has two shades in one, providing all the benefits of a traditional Silhouette shading but with an independently operated room-darkening roller shade nestled behind it.

The shades were perfect. They were just what we needed. We motorized all the windows in our living room so now we can select any or all windows to open, close and even block out the sun. Kathy helped with the color and recommended an accent wall color to highlight the blinds and the master doorway. Kathy is amazing.

I am so incredibly happy with Kathy and Rick!! I called and they were able to come out the same day.

Everything took a week to get installed but there was a holiday and likely would have been even sooner! I was not expecting such quick service. Rick is so sweet, I work night shift and had my mother over so he could install the shutters and have someone awake. He kept my room for last and has zero issue with my schedule. I found an imperfection and gave them a call.

The same night, I received a message saying they would be there to repair it almost next day. Kathy has a great eye and quickly helped me make decisions for several window and door openings. The custom shutters for the eyebrow curved window pictured here are so beautiful the pelican loves them too. They hold out heat and sun or open at any desired angle to let in the natural light. The room darkening shades recommended for sliders are also beautiful and easy to open and close at desired levels of light and privacy.

Rick did an amazing and quick job on perfect installation of these very different treatments, and his assistants Charlotte and Diane were also wonderful. Amazing how the right window coverings really transform a house into a home.

Spacer blocks can be used with the metal installation brackets to extend the Vertical Cellular out from the mounting surface to clear obstructions.

The stationary rail bottom bracket fits into the stationary rail and is attached to the floor or wall to secure the rail. An adaptor allows the bracket to be inside mounted to the casement. If necessary with outside mounts, an extension bracket can be used to extend the stationary rail bottom bracket away from the mounting surface. A magnetic strip and steel pull strip may be used on inside mount applications and center opening designs for full closure along the entire height of the moving rail s.

Other components include top rail end caps for outside mount applications; a center pull plate for center opening designs; and a handle for each moving rail. Before beginning the installation, check to be sure you have all the Vertical Cellular materials needed for your particular installation.

Then, clear a work space at least as large as the Vertical Cellular's outside dimensions and read these instructions all the way through to acquaint yourself with the installation procedures. There are four design options of Vertical Cellular shades: left stack, right stack, center stack, and center opening. The installation procedures for the four designs are very similar.

We will feature the left stack procedures and point out the installation differences among the other three designs as we go along. See the following list for the number of brackets required. Measure and mark all bracket locations. Bracket quantities are calculated separately for each rail, plus one additional installation bracket is included with the shade.

This additional bracket is positioned where the two rails meet to align them accurately. Installation brackets for ceiling mounted shades are attached the same way as inside mounts. Align the tops perfectly horizontal using a carpenter's level, and mount the brackets with the appropriate fasteners three per bracket. Up to three spacer blocks can be used between the mounting surface and the end of the installation bracket.

The solid side of the spacer block must always face the mounting surface. Caution: Do not put tension on the cord when arranging shade components. With a left stack design, position the moving rail bracket the bracket with the two bearings next to the left end of the top rail. With a right stack design, position the moving rail bracket next to the right end. A cord tensioner may already be inserted into the front groove at one end of the top rail, with an end plate attached to that end of the rail.

If so, move the cord tensioner to within 2" of the end plate to avoid putting tension on the cord when the components are arranged. If the end plate is not attached and the cord tensioner not inserted, do not install them until after you assemble the fabric and vertical rails onto the top rail.

For illustration purposes only, the left stack design is shown above with the cord tensioner and end plate installed, and the right stack design is shown below with these components not installed. With a center stack design, there are two moving rails, each with a moving rail bracket. If an end plate is attached to one end of the top rail, position the fabric and moving rails next to the other end.

If no end plate is attached, the fabric and rails can be installed onto either end of the top rail. The center opening design has two fabric panels, each with one moving rail. Position the moving rail brackets at opposite ends of the top rail. With all designs, it is important to remember not to put tension on the cord while the shade is being assembled. The cord is connected to a cord tensioning spring which can be damaged by excessive cord tension.

After the shade is mounted, the cord tensioner is adjusted to put spring tension on the cord, holding it taut under the top rail.
